About Scott Waddell

Passionate about player development and team culture, I serve as Head Coach of the NYU Women’s Soccer program while also leading competitive youth teams. With a decade plus years of experience at both the collegiate and club levels, I bring a holistic approach to coaching — focused on tactical intelligence, technical excellence, and personal growth. At NYU, I’m proud to mentor high-achieving student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. At the youth level, I design training environments that develop confident, creative, and resilient players ready for the next level. My coaching philosophy centers on communication, connection, and consistency — helping athletes reach their potential through purposeful planning and daily accountability. Off the field, I’m committed to supporting young people with college preparation, leadership development, and life skills that extend far beyond the game. Let’s connect — especially if you’re passionate about coaching, education, youth sports, or building high-performing teams.
