About Scott Wheeler

I have 18 years of telecommunication and information technology experience. My experience is from professional ventures as well as my own interests. I had to go back to school to obtain my degree in order to become more competitive with employers who are looking for new talent. I stay current with new technology and I am not afraid to try new products out. I do not believe in consumer-grade networking equipment in my home as I feel there are too many vulnerabilities in consumer equipment. I have built my own network at home using enterprise gear to have a higher level of security within my home network. I do understand that when there is a will, there is a way into anything. I like to think through new projects and handle the issues that come with them. I am a hands-on person that likes to get my hands dirty and see what makes a piece of equipment tick. I am very strong at troubleshooting an issue and usually do not give up until it is solved. I have received certificates of completion for CompTIA’s A+, Network+, and Security+. I just need to test for the certifications. The courses were completed in June 2018.
