About Sean Abbott

I moved to Chicago in June of 2015 and started working in resource management in Pearson Education (now Savvas Learning Company), where I now manage an educational consulting team. I've also since moved back to Fort Wayne and work remotely. However, I'm always looking for opportunities to work in media production or education media.I have a substantial history of writing and project management in both my professional experience and educational background. In addition, video production and digital publication design are skills I have been building since my high school years. A friend of mine in college jokingly described our journalism education as making us "jacks of all trades, masters of none," but I believe my varied skill set will make me an asset to an organization in the creation of any kind of media content. My time with Savvas (formerly Pearson) has been my first foray into the corporate world, and I've taken advantage of that opportunity to improve my organizational management and efficiency skills. I never realized before how much I'd enjoy working in processes and operations, and my previous position there let me work daily to provide support and training for our implementation of Kimble's professional services automation software and also develop and implement new process solutions on an ongoing basis. My current role has helped me to continue to grow my people management skills and has challenged me to further develop educational coaching and professional learning toolkits. In my spare time I like to design and play tabletop and electronic games.
