I am a qualified Quantity Surveyor offering 18 years’ experience in the construction industry. I hold a B Tech Degree in Quantity Surveying, coupled with practical experience across a variety of trades: including: Data Centres, Demolitions; Alterations; Earthworks; Pilling; Civil Engineering Works; Building Works; Housing; Industrial; Commercial Buildings; Pipeline construction; Airport extensions and New terminals. I am familiar with quantity surveying concepts, in particular, commercial/contractual acumen in terms of NEC Contracts, FIDIC suite of documents. I am familiar with quantity surveying concepts, practices and procedures, I have a solid understanding of commercial contractual law and am experienced in the drafting of sub-contractor agreements, preparation of subcontractor adjudications, compiling of insurance claims, assessing payment applications, enforcing adherence to contractual terms, and risk protection. With the ability to identify any variations in work performed, maximisation of profits with transparency and professional integrity (important that the client/project team trusts us, when dealing with claims and additional costs). As an astute negotiator, I have the skills to reach favourable agreements and effectively manage sub-contractor delivery. I am a “big-picture” thinker and an innovative problem solver, always keeping cost reductions and process efficiency in mind. When obstacles present themselves I am relentless in my efforts to succeed, meeting deadlines and challenges head-on. I am a team player, and work well with all members of the project team.
