About Sean Bacik

Since graduating with a Bachelors in Computer Science, my roles have included QA, test automation, tooling creation, and site reliability. Each of these has lead me to utilizing new skills and methodologies that now shape the engineer I am today.I'm interested in work that will challenge me to learn new skills and tools. I enjoy using my mind to solve puzzles and find edge cases via thorough design analysis. Working through difficult problems to find meaningful solutions is a large part of what keeps me interested in projects.During my time as a software engineer, the projects I have worked on have varied from simple to complex. I have designed and engineered on demand, full stack, and ephemeral test environments (via Docker containers, virtual machines, and Kubernetes) which can be used and discarded as needed. I've also worked on testing frameworks which dockerize individual applications while emulating or deploying necessary dependencies for thorough single service testing. I've also been apart of projects to migrate monolithic architecture applications to a Docker based environment.
