Background
About Sean Bjerke
Sean Bjerke is a Boston-based master Taekwondo-ist and professional dancer. Following a 14-year career in Biotech, Sean pledged himself to becoming a full-time movement coach in late 2018, having studied Taekwondo since he was 8, and dance since he entered college. Following a company-side layoff at his previous employer, Sean has since established his own independent teaching business, created performance choreography for multiple university and professional programs, and is a co-founder of the Sambanismo Experience Boston dance festival, a yearly celebration of urban art and music, mixed with the vibrant essence of Brazilian culture. Wearing hats as a dancer, martial artist, choreographer, director and organizer, Sean's primary passion has always been teaching and mentoring. Combining proven analytical teaching methods with his martial arts and dance experience has allowed Sean to train multiple generations of black belts at the JH Kim Taekwondo Institute, as well as help dancers from around the world better understand & appreciate the lineage of house music and dance.
