About Sean Boyer

An independent and highly self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail. With over 20 years in the scientific publishing industry, I have experience in ushering author materials from the manuscript stage through to final publication. Duties have included proofreading, copy editing, verifying figure permissions, and finalizing/approving materials for print and online publication. I work with authors, editors, and vendors to ensure all materials meet author and editorial expectations as well as journal style and publishing specs (for both online and print versions of journals). I have been recognized for being an organized, analytical problem solver who is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently within any environment, and demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbal while maintaining professional poise in fast paced, deadline driven environments. I also produce two award-winning webcomics, one of which has been on-going for over 15 years. Duties include story creation, script writing, character design, background design, and layout/presentation of online and print versions, as well as uploading all content for weekly online updates.
