I am an experienced Executive Director and Licensed Counselor with a 30+ year history of working in the social services/mental health field. My administrative skills include nonprofit management, supervision, grant writing, fundraising, training and technical assistance, and policy lobbying/advocacy efforts. I have a strong community and social services background with a Master of Counseling Psychology (MCP), Master of Education (M.Ed.), and Master of Social Work (MSW) degrees. With extensive experience in substance abuse prevention and treatment field I am an Internationally Certified Prevention Specialist (ICPS), Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), and Certified Harm Reduction Specialist (CHRS). In addition, I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and have written an implemented grants serving local law enforcement. I created and piloted a collaborative mental health/law enforcement response protocol, conducted critical incident stress debriefings (CISM), trained and established a law enforcement peer support team, and trained rookie officers in mental health issues and de-escalation techniques. I am Critical Incident Training (CIT) trained, and the county coordinator for the Medical Reserve Corps Stress Response Team (MRC/SRT). As a licensed counselor in private practice I treat complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression and substance use/dependence. My clients are primarily military and first responders, but I see any client over the age of 14. I currently accept HealthChoice, Blue Cross/Shield and private pay.
