About Sean Carney

There's nothing that cannot be learned, and then subsequently taught. Personal growth and education are my passion and integral to who I am as an individual. In 2016, I started my own company, The Gamers' Keep, LLC that specializes in retail games and collectibles. Within 5 years, I was able to build the company revenue to over $120K per year despite new local competition in the same arena. A good business plan, a solid foundation, and honesty with our clientele were key to developing, and maintaining a strong relationship with our community. Every responsibility of owning and operating a business be it purchasing, event scheduling, employee retention, to accounting were skills I developed very rapidly by necessity. After a successful start to the business, I have moved to the stage of handing off the business to my current partner, maintaining status as a consultant for The Gamers' Keep and retaining a small ownership stake. Gaining an active business partner afforded a new opportunity in late 2018 of acquiring employment at Huntington National Bank where I became a Banker and greatly enhanced my financial literacy. As a banker, I was able to take advantage of my varied experiences as a Teaching Assistant in Grad School, and as a Business Owner to connect strongly with my clients. I am analytical, but also an educator, and presentation is key.
