About Sean Connery

Sean has over 30 years’ experience in financial markets dealing with both domestic and international clients. He spent fifteen years’ as a Fixed Income portfolio manager at Invesco (2004-2019), managing assets in excess of $4bn across a range of strategies (including Global Agg and Absolute Return) on behalf of large US, Japanese and Chinese clients, prior to joining the Pensions team there in 2019. Within Pensions, Sean has worked with some of Invesco’s largest UK clients (wealth managers, large corporates, Local Government / central government agencies). In addition, he has recently taken on the responsibility of overseeing their Irish client base. Sean’s clients invest across a range of strategies from Multi-Asset, Fixed Income, Equities, Factors, ETFs through to Private Markets (including Real Estate) and he has built up a large number of very influential contacts (consultants, independent trustees, pension managers, CIO’s etc). Sean aims to deliver a first class experience and spends a lot of time getting to know his clients and trying to understand the challenges that they face. He is very comfortable commenting on macro developments and explaining how those are likely to impact asset prices. He has written blogs, been quoted in financial publications, presented at numerous conferences, organised and participated in roundtable events and writes a regular newsletter for his clients. He is personable, very comfortable with client and consultant interactions and has much experience in both raising and defending assets, domestically and internationally. Sean is a CFA Charterholder, a CAIA Charterholder and also has certificate in ESG investing.
