About Sean Duffy

In my current capacity as the Vice Principal at BWA in Dubai, I oversee assessment, reporting, teaching and learning, and lead on raising standards across the school. My role involves driving high-quality curriculum implementation, monitoring and improving student outcomes, and ensuring consistency and excellence in classroom practice. I am also responsible for shaping whole-school strategy, strengthening professional development, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. Alongside this, I work closely with staff, students, and parents to foster an environment where academic excellence is matched with wellbeing, aspiration, and future readiness. Rooted in my vocation as an English teacher, I bring well over a decade of leadership expertise. In my previous position, I represented five different secondary schools, collaborating to deliver a bespoke and globally renowned sixth form programme that stands unparalleled. I firmly believe our students require more than academic achievement; they need the skills, values, and resilience to thrive in a complex and changing world, where they are poised to become the leaders of tomorrow.
