About Sean Evans

I am a Section Chief Development and Instructor at the United States Air Force, where I oversee 15 instructors and provide standardized training for 1,100 maintenance personnel. I have been in this role since 2021, and I have been an Aerospace Maintenance Craftsman since 2003, maintaining 19 aircraft worth $1.6 billion. I have an Associate's degree in Instructor of Military Science and a certification in Instructional Systems Development (ISD), which allow me to apply the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) model to create effective and relevant curriculum for various courses of instruction. I am passionate about leveraging innovative technology and best practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of air force operations and education. Since 2020, I have been leading the Virtual Reality Program for my base, which governs five mechanical trainers valued at $80 million. I also chair the Curriculum Advisory Committee meetings to eliminate duplication training between the AMC and Training Detachment/AETC courses. I am a trusted advisor to the commander on all matters concerning assigned personnel and a mentor to many subordinates. My goal is to empower and enable the air force personnel to achieve excellence and readiness.
