About Sean Gibb
I have over 20 years of experience in the tech industry and have a passion for developing robust systems. I have loved programming since my dad took me to the university when I was ten years old and had me write my first program in Fortran on punch cards and pick up the results from the line printer. During my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, I studied the automatic generation of application-specific processors and domain-specific compilers. I was obsessed with compilers and programming languages and developed several languages for describing and solving different problem spaces, including processor specification, fractal generation, texture synthesis, and 3D modelling. During my Ph.D. I also developed an interest in solving NP-hard and NP-complete problems. I founded Eideticom in 2016. Eideticom is an early startup and leader in computational storage. We have developed IP solutions that solve problems in the data centre. I founded Rad3 Communications in 2009. Rad3 licensed FEC and OFDM solutions for storage, wireless, and optical markets. Rad3 was acquired by PMC-Sierra in 2011.
