About Sean Johnson
I have received my Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Merced. While completing my studies I held the position of Chief Engineer and Vice-President for the campus' Society of Automotive Engineers while we worked towards competing in the Formula SAE Electric competition. During this time, I also worked with Suspension 101 in developing base valves for motorcycles from different manufacturers to provide more tunability in both high and low speed scenarios. Throughout these opportunities, I gained experience using SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk, MATLAB, Microsoft Office, R, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, while taking classes in Lagrange Dynamics, Tribology, Strength of Materials, Component Design and others. I have begun to educate myself on GD & T and Lean Six Sigma while also prepping to take the CSWA and the FE exams. I hope to find a role in Product Development that allows me to work through the engineering design process and optimizing designs for reduced costs and ease of manufacturing.
