I’ve developed and executed programs ensuring well bore placement that minimizes friction from tortuosity and reduced risk due to offset wells. I have an in-depth understanding of directional drilling abilities and bottom hole assembly motor yields. This gives me the ability to reduce the risk of anti-collision with offset wells and ensures smooth tripping conditions. I have an expert level understanding of on bottom drilling performance, casing string make up, and casing running risk reduction. I can ensure proper directional survey grid system are applied from plats and as-builts on site. I ensure BHA’s are picked up safely and scribed for proper tool face alignment. I set drilling parameters and assist the driller in optimizing drilling parameters for optimal hole cleaning and to achieve the highest rate of penetration while ensuring bit run life. I ensure that proper casing connection make up practices are followed and keep casing running operations within running limits. I have an advanced understanding of downhole formation pressures and hydraulics. I’m able to understand and follow running guidelines to avoid well bore damage resulting from surge and swab. I understand the importance of managed pressure drilling (MPD) systems.
