About Sean McGhee

Design Engineer with varied experience working in fields from motorsport to combat robotics, aeronautics to fitness equipment. They do say variety is the spice of life. I have experience with engineering design and design for manufacture at several levels, from bespoke machined components through to mass produced steel work products. The design process is something I find particularly rewarding, especially challenging and progressing my problem solving skills and seeing a project develop from a sketch to screen to finished product. I'm fluent with both Inventor and Solidworks CAD packages, allowing me to translate design ideas into manufacturable models and drawings. Throughout my varied experiences I have been lucky enough to work with cutting-edge manufacturing processes along with diverse materials. I always like to look for ways to implement new processes and materials into any project, allowing the design goals to be achieved in a more cost effective manner, weight efficient manner, or with superior performance. Outside of engineering I love to play guitar, and I have a passion for cooking and exploring foods from around the world.
