About Sean Oehlerich

I worked in the grocery industry for around 20 years. I started as a bagger and worked my way through to lower level management, finishing my time as a closing manager. During that time I also subcontracted a tortilla/chip vending route which included ordering, selling, and distributing products to grocery stores. I worked closely with management with displays and selling opportunities. I eventually left the industry and worked as a FedEx Ground delivery driver for a little over a year. Currently, I am a sheet metal apprentice in my 4th year. I enjoy what I do, but my body seems to not agree so I am seeking to find ways to make my living with my mind more so than my body. I have also coached youth sports for around 10 years, kids ages 7 up to 18. This has given me my biggest professional joy. I love working with other people, especially in a team environment. That being said, I am also driven enough and self-motivated enough to work on my own. I have recently obtained the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification and am excited about opportunities that could potentially arise in the tech field. As daunting as it is to switch careers, the excitement that exists from learning easily outweighs any negative thoughts.
