About Sean Osborn
I have over 17 years of experience working in labs across both academia and the private sector. While working at OUHSC, I had clinical experience performing HLA typing for both bone marrow and solid organ transplants. I was a member of ASHI for several years between 2006 and 2017. My duties included DNA extraction, high complexity PCR, Sanger sequencing, and maintaining records for clinical accreditation through ASHI. I also did tissue culture, transfections, protein purification, and transformations. When moving into the private biotech sector in 2017, I continued performing HLA typing as a research tool both internally and externally and expanded my duties. I have been involved with protein purification from cell lysates, HPLC, and light work in mass spectrometry. In 2018, I went back to school to get a B.S in Biomedical Science from the University of Central Oklahoma and graduate in December 2023. I have learned many other skills in molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, and immunology.
