About Sean Pharr

Sean Pharr is the lead attorney and founder of the Pharr Law Group. He has dedicated his career to defending his clients in the state and federal courts all around the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Mr. Pharr largely focuses his practice on complex criminal cases. He also regularly represents individuals charged with misdemeanor crimes and traffic offenses. Sean completed his undergraduate education at the University of Kentucky, where he received degrees in Philosophy and Political Science. He graduated from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law with the highest honors. While in law school, he served as Executive Editor of the Northern Kentucky Law Review and competed in multiple national competitions in trial an appellate advocacy. After law school, Sean moved to Louisville to take the only attorney position he’s ever applied for, as a trial lawyer with the Louisville Metro Public Defender. There he learned true, indiscriminate passion and gained invaluable experience defending those who could not otherwise afford a lawyer. He defended thousands of cases ranging from DUI to high-profile murders. He tried many cases, winning more awards for full acquittals in felony jury trials than any of the other seventy-five lawyers during his time at the office. He was quickly promoted to Deputy Division Chief, a role which made him a leader and mentor to a small team of trial lawyers and assigned him responsibilities to train staff. He is also proud to have studied and graduated from the prestigious National Criminal Defense College in Macon, Georgia. Sean founded his private practice in 2017 in Louisville shortly before moving home to Northern Kentucky to start a family. With deep ties to the legal communities in both Northern Kentucky and Louisville, his practice naturally bridged both areas. Over time, as he represented clients from both locations and their surrounding areas, the courts in which he regularly practiced gradually expanded. Today, he has defended felony cases in nearly eighty of Kentucky’s one hundred twenty counties across the state.
