About Sean Rah

I have completed the Master of Biomedical Technology at the University of Calgary where the focus of the program is to sharpen both my business skills and technical knowledge. The program involves in-depth study of finance, regulatory affairs, intellectual property, project management, and marketing & sales. Prior to this program, I have worked in multiple labs and I have earned a Master’s degree in Neurophysiology and a Bachelor’s degree in Physiology. I have conducted electrophysiological studies, imaging studies, and retrospective literature review studies. From these experiences I have gained significant knowledge in working with data (analysis, interpretation, and presentation), large databases (via excel, prism or SQL) and project management skills. I have always been passionate about life sciences and although my passion for the sciences has not changed, my career goals have. I would like to pursue a career in which I can incorporate both science and business. I want to apply my knowledge and experience in more practical, real-world settings. I have strong interpersonal communication skills and customer service developed through volunteering with many organizations throughout undergrad and post-graduate studies, which include volunteering with people of all ages, socioeconomic, racial and cultural backgrounds.
