Have provided debt advisory to many of the JSE Top 40 companies and M&A transaction highlights include- Advised SABMiller on the implementation of its R7.3 billion BEE transaction at local subsidiary level in SAB (awarded “Deal of the Year 2009” by Dealmakers)- Advised Medi-Clinic in respect of its acquisition of Hirslanden, the largest private Swiss hospital group, valued at an enterprise value of R22 billion (implementation of a R4.5 billion rights offer in order to raise sufficient equity capital to implement the acquisition, nominated “Deal of the Year 2007” by Dealmakers)- Advised Pioneer Foods in respect of the listing by introduction on the JSE (R6.3 billion) and advised Pioneer Foods in respect of a R500 million rights offer - Advised Pioneer Foods on the implementation of its 10% BEE transaction - Advisor to Woolworths in respect of the disposal of 50.1% of Woolworths Financial Services comprising a R5.5 billion debtors book - Adviser to the board and management of Standard Bank Group and its subsidiary Stanbic Africa Holdings Limited (SAHL) on the acquisition of CfC Bank Limited in Kenya for US$473 million - Advisor to Western Areas in respect the offer by Gold Fields to acquire the entire issued share capital of Western Areas
