We've all read the articles stating brands are now publishers - and I have a very unique perspective having lived that transition in my own career. With my 7+ years of experience in the TV news industry, I bring a journalistic approach to marketing projects. I honed my skills as a storyteller: developing a digestible narrative that resonates. I worked both on-air and as a show producer. I moved from traditional media into new media: social and brand advertising - from telling "news" stories to telling "brand" stories. Ultimately, applying my editorial background into a marketing strategy and utilizing data and 1-to-1 marketing tools to enhance our brands' relationship with the consumer. In my time in the retail space, I've worn many hats. I have developed organizational approaches and oversight for social media across the organization. In my time at JCPenney, I built our social team from scratch, completely re-framing our strategy and creating a presence that earned attention. I have also planned, developed and executed some of the most successful social campaigns in past several years, winning awards like Clios, Bulldog PR awards, INC.com Top PR Stunt, multiple Twitter Case Studies and more.
