I am a senior sport system executive and strategic leader with over 25 years of experience working with a mix of athletes, teams, universities, national organizations and sports systems to achieve success from play ground to the podium. As a transformational leader in the space of building effective sports systems I have developed expertise in Change Management, Strategic Planning, Business Process Re-Engineering, Leadership Development & Coaching, Strategic Partnership & Stakeholder Management and Evidence-Based Performance Solutions. My achievements include, working at a sport system level for both the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and Own the Podium (OTP) in Canada I was responsible for the development and implementation of strategic planning frameworks, stakeholder management (Government & Sport), annual budgets for grants programs and operations, public policy and programs/services designed to improve the overall sports systems in both countries. I am passionate about the human aspect of change management, based on the concepts of how holistic development fosters better people who create better environments. The high-stakes strategic relationship building is an area in which I excel. Partnering with governments (local/provincial/national), sporting organizations and universities on programs and services are an enormous part of my work and I have taken great care in building those skillsets and networks. My tendency to reject the status quo and identify opportunities for strategic partnerships that enhance both organizational and system level performance. I sincerely enjoy instituting evidence-based strategies into antiquated decision-making models and seeing the impact that can bring on any individual, organization and system.
