About Sean Vazquez

As the Nursing/Paramedic Lab and Simulation Coordinator at Anna Maria College, I leverage my diverse frontline healthcare experience and proven leadership to enhance nursing education. In addition to my role as Coordinator, I serve as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Nursing, where I teach Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students in both the simulation lab and clinical settings. Together, these roles allow me to directly impact the training and development of future nursing professionals. I am overseeing the development of a $1 million state-of-the-art simulation lab aimed at addressing the national nursing shortage by providing essential training resources. My extensive career spans high-stakes environments, including a Level 1 trauma center, military operations, and experience as a first responder, where I honed my skills in interdisciplinary teamwork and critical decision-making. As a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, I successfully managed over $26 million in assets, demonstrating my ability to lead large-scale projects and mentor diverse teams. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with aspirations to teach and mentor future PMHNP students. With a strong commitment to fostering positive learning environments, I also coach youth soccer, emphasizing collaboration and skill development. I am dedicated to contributing to exceptional healthcare education at Anna Maria College, shaping the future of nursing and paramedic programs. My long-term goals include pursuing doctoral studies to further my expertise and enhance my ability to teach and inspire future PMHNP students.
