About Sean Witkin

Dr. Sean Witkin earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology Pre-Physical Therapy from California State University in 2012 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) in 2017. He has been a licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 2012.Sean is also a Level 1 American Physical Therapy Association Certified Clinical Instructor and a mentor for students entering clinical practice. As an Associate Director of Clinical Education, he works in the Residential DPT program at The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, CA helping guide students through their clinical affiliations.As a clinician, Sean has worked across multiple healthcare settings including acute inpatient care, skilled nursing, and outpatient orthopedics. He has been working at Palomar Health since 2017, and currently practices outpatient orthopedics at Palomar Medical Center - Poway. While Sean is well-versed in treating a variety of musculoskeletal disorders, his specialties include post-operative management of rotator cuff repair, total joint arthroplasty, fall prevention, wellness and strength and conditioning with emphasis on return to sport.
