About Sebastian Soper

I have over 38 years’ experience working in the creative industries in a wide range of disciplines specialising in theatre. I have a broad knowledge of designing and presenting projects and the costing of projects for clients both in and outside of the Theatre industry here and abroad. I realise the importance of developing relationships both in the commercial and the subsidised sector. My creative career has allowed me to be involved in the realising of some incredible work, across Drama, Musicals, Opera, Dance and other work within the creative arts, both in the UK and abroad. This has highlighted to me the importance of developing and informing Projects with the benefit of the broadest creative perspectives. I am currently Head of Project Development at the Theatre Royal Plymouth's workshops at TR2. My work over the past 15 years has highlighted the importance of a mixed economy model of working. Alongside the commercial emphasis of work, it is important to find the space to develop other avenues for working with a firm sight on the investment in people. It is interesting to note that it is often suggested that industry relies on the subsidised sector for innovation. Most importantly I have always been lucky to have work with incredible teams of people.
