About Sebastien Boyer

I am a French physicist and experimental evolutionary biologist with a background in data analysis and statistical modeling. In my current role, I specialize in a combination of applied research and research engineering, utilizing deep learning and other appropriate modeling techniques. This includes working with large language models (LLMs), graph neural networks (GNNs), employing both frequentist and Bayesian methods, working on foundational research and downstream tasks oriented models, with the goal to score or generate sequences or structures (and hopefully other scales of biology). Additionally, I had the opportunity to teach at the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, and I am fortunate to manage a team of five on a daily basis, along with many more team members on certain projects.
