Hello! I'm Sehm Philipos, a dedicated junior at Biola University, majoring in Computer Science with a focus on Data and Information Science. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I've embraced every opportunity to learn and grow, driven by my goal to excel in the tech field and eventually start my own business. At Biola, I've not only deepened my technical skills in languages like C++ and Python and tools such as Excel and Tableau, but I've also honed my abilities in teamwork, leadership, and adaptability through various roles. Participating in events like Meet the Firms has been instrumental in broadening my understanding of the industry and enhancing my network. My experiences range from serving as a Physical Technician at event services—where I ensured the seamless execution of events through expert setup of audio and lighting systems—to representing The Netherlands at Model United Nations, where I engaged in critical discussions on global challenges such as rising water levels and population growth. I'm also deeply involved in community service and leadership programs, such as Word is Bond in Portland, which focuses on empowering African American youth through mentorship and professional skill-building. I am fluent in English, French, and Amharic, which allows me to connect with diverse groups and cultures, further enriching my personal and professional life.
