About Senja Riikonen

I'm a driven and positive young adult with a specialization in e-commerce, currently studying for my Master's degree in Knowledge Management. Throughout my career, I've gained valuable experience in various aspects of the industry, including DMCs, incoming travel agencies, and direct customer engagement in diverse roles such customer service and sales specialist. In my current position, I'm focusing on operating with five different web shops (accomodation, equipment rental/ski pass, retail, ski-school) while also actively working on their development to enhance the overall customer experience. My journey began at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, where I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, focusing on destination design and management. While my expertise spans a wide range of tourism-related interests, such as destination management, sports, adventure, nature, and sustainable tourism, I believe that the essence of a fulfilling workplace lies in the company's mission, goals, and values. As an e-commerce specialist, I excel in collaborative team environments while also embracing individual challenges. I'm a creative thinker who thrives on innovative problem-solving, constantly seeking unconventional approaches to overcome conventional obstacles. One of my biggest asset is the experience gained from the different cultures by working, studying and travelling around the world. This multicultural experience has improved my ability to view situations from various perspectives, adapt to different backgrounds, and communicate effectively in English as well as a critical skill in the global marketplace. Additionally, I have enthusiasm for various software programs, systems, CRMs, and other technological solutions that can drive business innovation and efficiency. I find motivation in overcoming challenges and am unafraid to step out of my comfort zone to achieve success. On a personal note, I am a sociable individual who easily connects with others. Even so I also need my own space and find my inner peace from the nature where I like to spend my free time roaming around.
