About Senthilkumar Ramasamy

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Naval Architecture & Offshore Engineering at AMET University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Currently, I am engaged as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Civil, Energy, Environmental and Material Engineering (DICEAM) at the 'Mediterranea' University of Reggio Calabria, Italy. My core research interests include: Numerical modeling of coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics Sediment transport and morphological evolution Coastal and offshore engineering solutions Renewable ocean energy systems (e.g, Oscillating Water Columns) Applications in GIS & Digital Elevation Models (DEM) Elements of Naval Architecture I focus on addressing real-world coastal engineering challenges, working at the intersection of applied research and innovative technology. I actively contribute to peer-reviewed international journals and participate in global scientific conferences, sharing insights from both academic research and field applications.
