About Senthuten Rahulingam

I’m a Civil Engineer with a strong interest in structural design and site coordination. What excites me most is understanding how each reinforcement bar connects within a slab or beam, and the reason behind every design choice. My engineering journey started in Sri Lanka, where I worked on multiple and technically demanding projects. At Unilever’s Head Office Renovation, I assisted in strengthening a 200-year-old building, including steel and composite structural works. At Keonn Investments, I coordinated the 9-storey condominium project from basement to rooftop, verifying reinforcement, interim payments, and collaborating directly with consultants on design clarifications. Earlier at Nallur Kandasamy Kovil, I helped supervise the construction of a heritage-sensitive gopuram (tower in front of temple), ensuring foundation stability near a 300-year-old structure. These experiences shaped how I approach engineering not as a checklist of schedules and drawings, but as a process that brings design, materials, and people together. I’ve learned to stay accurate in my work, adjust to site changes quickly, and make sure the team works safely and smoothly together. I’m currently expanding my Canadian engineering knowledge through the Humber Polytechnic Bridging Program, deepening my skills in Revit, AutoCAD, estimation, Ontario Building Code, and sustainable construction. I’m open to civil and structural engineering opportunities across Canada, especially roles involving structural design and site coordination. My goal is to grow within a professional team that values quality, learning, and technical excellence, leading toward my P.Eng certification.
