About Senzi Mathe

I am a third-year Bsc Architecture student at the University of Pretoria with an interest in integrating fiber art into future design projects as well as designing accessible public spaces that address systemic issues in our country. I am eager to apply my skills in a professional setting and gain further knowledge during my year out of experience.Running a fiber art business while studying has further honed my time management, networking, and communication skills. I also participated in the Raw Modular Timber training camp, contributing to a team project that won Best Design of the Week, atestament to my ability to collaborate with others and contribute to successful projects. This project is now being developed further by Raw Modular for research purposes.Highlights in my academic career include being on the Dean's Merit List for 2022 and 2023, receiving the Pretoria Institute for Architecture Prize for Best Design Student in First Year Architecture(2022) and for Design Student with the Highest Final Mark (2023). Maintaining an average above 75% since my first year reflects my diligence, hard work and discipline.
