Background

About Seppo Tossavainen

My key strengths include business development, growth strategies, distribution networks, business planning, and team leadership. I possess world-class expertise in the circular economy, bio-economy, and cleantech industries. As the founder of four companies, I have successfully executed two exits and held seven director, manager, and team leader positions. Throughout my career, I have developed and managed global distribution networks across 25 countries and have lived and worked in several of them. With 30 years of experience in international business, I began my journey as a founder and owner in the private sector, focusing on cleantech and bio-economy businesses. Later, I transitioned to supporting Finnish companies in international trade promotion. In my recent roles, I served as a North American link in Finland before relocating to Toronto to establish Business Finland’s Canadian office, aiding our export companies. Toronto, being one of the top tech hubs globally, provided an inspiring environment to witness and engage with emerging global trends. Now, I have returned to Finland, continuing my contribution to global sustainable growth.
