About Serafim Kotrotsos

I graduated from the department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (#1 engineering school in Greece) and completed my PhD in the area of Management Information Systems for the Telecom Industry in 2001 and achieved the top distinction completing the awarded MBA International program of Athens University of Business and Economics (#1 business school in Greece). I am an experienced telecom professional working more than twenty years in this industry, from various roles and positions. I can proudly claim solid skills and experience in Management, Operations, Business Strategy & Business Development, ICT, Advisory & Consultancy, Process assessment & design, and Business innovation. I have collaborated with several leading telecom groups in Europe and Asia (e.g. Wind, Vodafone, DT, Etisalat, Ooredoo) from various positions. I currently work for Ooredoo Qatar, the flagship of a leading multinational telecom operator group. I serve as the head of the B2B Customer Support & Order Management department with primary focus on the smooth and efficient fulfillment of business customer requests, as also the quick and quality resolution of issues meeting and often exceeding customer and organizational exceptions. In addition to the above, I have been a serial tech - entrepreneur with a key role in a number of innovative ventures over the past 15 years. My most recent entrepreneurial activity has been the co-founding of Incelligent, a start-up revolutionizing networks, leveraging big data analytics and artificial intelligence. Moreover, I have collaborated for a number of years with the academia, giving lectures in different areas of my expertise to undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervising innovating thesis, as also collaborating in innovation and research programs as a domain expert of the telecom industry.
