About Serena Cox

I recently completed my final year of a BSc Hons Real Estate course at Harper Adams University. The course incorporated both commercial and rural modules. I finished Year 1 with the top overall mark on the Real Estate course. Prior to my final year, I completed a 13-month infrastructure placement with Carter Jonas, Birmingham. Carter Jonas is a multi-disciplinary property partnership, providing expertise in residential, commercial, rural, and planning and development areas across the UK. This position enabled me to acquire experience within both urban and rural settings including on national infrastructure projects such as HS2. Key responsibilities included conducting site and property inspections alongside preparing a range of professional documents including Section 53’s, market appraisals and advance payment requests. In support of my academic profile, my work experience has allowed me to develop excellent interpersonal and team working skills. Upon completion of my studies I aim to complete my APC becoming a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). I am also very commercially minded and forward thinking, attributes which in addition to my enthusiasm and passion for the sector will support me well as my career develops.
