About Serena Klaves

As an AVP Lending/Loan Officer at Farm Credit Illinois, I have the opportunity to develop and maintain relationships with the people of Rural America while helping them with their ag lending needs. Our organization takes pride in helping farm families succeed. I am very passionate about financial literacy and I am an advocate for agriculture. I have experience in consumer lending, mortgage origination, credit analysis, loan compliance, service, and sales. My time management and organization skills allow me to work efficiently and effectively. I am a proud Central IL native! I graduated from WLHS and went on to receive my Associates of Arts focused in Accounting from Richland Community College in 2018 and my Bachelors of Science focused in Accounting and Finance from Millikin University in 2020. I am currently studying for my MBA in Applied Finance from the University of Illinois, Springfield with an expected graduation date of May, 2026. In addition to my work and studies, I am an avid pocket billiards player and enthusiast. My preferred discipline is 9-ball! From 2015-2020, I traveled internationally to compete at a semi-professional level. In 2016, I was one of two females to represent Team USA in the Atlantic Challenge Cup and later that year, I represented the USA again at the World Junior 9-Ball Championships in Shanghai, China. Although I no longer compete since I am focused on my career, I still enjoy a good game at the local pool hall when time allows.
