About Serena Mignucci

When I was a child I dreamt of inventing new things and protecting the planet from threats that felt unjust. This passion led me to study environmental engineering, and when I discovered the startup world, I realized it could be my way for a tangible impact. Today I am the CEO and co-founder of Bufaga, a cleantech startup whose mission is to leave a pollution-free planet to the future generations, by leveraging technology. From a simple idea, Bufaga has grown into a multidisciplinary team delivering 3 product lines, securing its first 250K investment round, and closing the first contracts. Over the past few years, I have worked in planning and control roles for major energy distribution companies, and my core skills are in project management and sustainability. I’m determined, results-driven and I strongly believe in continuous learning and improvement. In my free time I enjoy dancing reggaeton, reading books on personal growth and spending time at the beach with the people I love.
