About Serginho Sandy

Since the age of five years I have been involved in sports, more specifically the game of football (soccer). I had the opportunity to play for one of the best youth team programs on the island of Trinidad and Tobago as well as the U17, U23 and stints with the senior national team. Winning every possible trophy at the youth level propelled me to several different local professional and national coaches’ looks. Playing in the local professional scene from age 18 for Caledonia AIA eventually helped me land an athletic scholarship for Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia Kentucky. On scholarship playing for the now nine time National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) soccer champions team (scored the game winner in the final for the 2005 championship team) helped provided several different opportunities along the line of competitiveness as well as travel. My involvement in the interscholastic play in America eventually helped channel me to pass on my knowledge within the coaching ranks. At this stage of my life I completed post graduate work as well as receive my coaching diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
