About Sergio Avanto

I've spent 25+ years listening and tuning for some of the fastest SX/MX riders in the world. These opportunities honed my listening skills to allow me to give them exactly what they needed to win. As I evolved as a suspension engineer, I quickly realized the need to manipulate the entire system to give my riders what they needed; Chassis, Suspension, Engine and EFI. This extended beyond the motorcycle to also include team that supports them. Sometimes the problems were with the team and it's approach, not necessarily the motorcycle or the rider. Understanding this difference and knowing where to focus change was a critical step to understanding how to build word class teams, both is Professional Racing and in business. Some of the racer's I’ve had the privilege to work with that shaped my tuning methodology: John Tomac (Doug Bradbury), Manitou Jeremy McGrath, Yamaha James Stewart, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki Chad Reed, Yamaha, Honda Ryan Villopoto, Kawasaki, Yamaha Ken Roczen, Suzuki Ricky Carmichael, Ivan Tedesco and Broc Tickle, Suzuki Tim Ferry, Kawasaki, Yamaha Justin Barcia and Aaron Plessinger, Yamaha
