Sergio Martinez is a seasoned digital trade and investment economist and sustainable development specialist with 13+ years of experience in multi-stakeholder dialogue, economic research and policy analysis across public and private sector institutions. His recent research and analysis in international economics has looked at policy and business initiatives aiming to facilitate the development of digital trade ecosystems in Asia and the Pacific, Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean. During his assignments, he has undertaken desk research and interviewed multiple stakeholders from across the public and private sectors to address the role of digital trade, e-commerce, digital financial inclusion and the digital economy in advancing sustainable development. Sergio has contributed to an extensive range of trade and investment projects led by major international organizations, including: WIPO, ESCAP, UNCTAD, WTO, ITC, World Bank, IMF, DAI Global LLC and USAID.
