About Sergio Marin

I discovered my passion for programming and the web about fourteen years ago by “hacking” (which was the perception of what I was doing at the time) the open-source code for an MU web server written in PHP (the MMORPG game). Since that moment I have been passionate about web development, creating applications that could help others to solve their problems. For me the web platform allows us to be creative and innovative and at the same time gives all the freedom to the user, they can run software inside their browsers without any installation, limitation of OS (desktop or mobile). And these applications could bring real value to the users. I had worked in different places on the web platform: building APIs, front-end applications, server-rendered apps, processing data, connecting the user to third parties, connecting hardware to APIs, and others. Learning something new every day and trying new things because the web platform is always growing and changing. My aims- Learning new things and having fun while doing it- I always try to exert myself and gain a new perspective on how to create apps- Last but not least, I enjoy teaching others, as well as learning and finding solutions as a team. Working with others to create solutions that follow a certain set of rules. Producing knowledge that can be transferred to subsequent teams.
