About Sergio Servidio
Prof. Servidio achieved his degree in Physics in 2003 at the University of Calabria (UNICAL, Italy). He got the PhD in Physics at UNICAL in 2006. In 2005 he visited University of Uppsala (Sweden), in the framework of an European fellowship. In 2007 he got a research contract at the University of Tromso (Norway). From 2007 to 2009 he has been postdoc at University of Delaware (USA) and from 2009 to 2015 he has been a postdoc researcher at UNICAL. From 2015 to 2018 he has been an assistant professor at the University of Calabria. Since December 2018 he is an Associate Professor at University of Calabria. Research: Nonlinear phenomena and turbulence in astrophysical plasmas (solar wind, heliosphere, solar corona, magnetosphere), as well as laboratory devices. His main interest concern the theory, numerical modelling, and data analysis of plasma turbulence in the heliopshere and space weather. Finally, he also leads a group of research on general relativistic plasmas.
