About Serin Jeon

I am Serin Jeon, a junior studying Computer Science and Criminal Justice at Northeastern University. I would introduce myself as a learner. I feel great joy whenever I learn something new. It hasn’t been long since I entered the computer science field. I encountered coding almost for the first time in the beginning of my freshman year. That was when I learned the pleasure that only this field could give to me. Coding on DrRacket was completely new, and I’d put a lot of time and effort into learning this new technology, and the process of it was so hard that I even felt hopeless. Then after all of those sufferings, I still cannot forget the electricity I felt after reading ‘all tests passed.’ So at that time, I was fascinated by the charm of this field, and I eventually chose my major as computer science. Every semester I take new classes, I learn new technology. At the end of Spring 2022, I became a person who knows Java, and at the end of Fall 2022, I became a person who knew MySQL. At the end of every semester, I’ve developed into a person who my past self could’ve never imagined of. After learning about the concept of frontend, I was intrigued and self-taught HTML and CSS. That way, my first ever web page – my portfolio – was made. Then I learned that Javascript could flourish my webpage, so with some light weight of Javascript, my portfolio got upgraded this winter. As a learner, I’m deeply interested in making myself better than yesterday. I’m thrilled about how much I will get to learn from the wonderful team and how much I will grow that I cannot even imagine right now.
