About Serjio Hernandez

I am passionate about telling a great stories."At an early age I found my way into the Television industry following in the footsteps of my father, a television anchor in Phoenix & Los Angles. However, I fell in love with working behind the scenes. First as a Live truck operator then mastering my story telling skills as a video editor then eventually turning my focus to photojournalism.I have been very fortunate to have a father that taught me and my brother the business at a very young age. I would grip for him as soon as I could lift a 3/4th inch recorder. I had to follow him very close due to the short umbilical cord connecting us while he shot the video. He also taught me lighting and the basics of shooting. Multiple Emmy award-winning Photojournalist with over 24 years of experience in broadcast news. I’m also an Edward R Murrow awards winning Podcaster. Telling stories through my lens has been one of the joys of my life. I love to find ways to tell a compelling, entertaining story. I am the producer and occasional co-host of the True Crime Arizona podcast.
