About Setareh Mohmand

I received my Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology at George Mason University. Since then, I serve as a resource technologist performing routine and specialized laboratory assays, interpreting and resulting test results, and providing technical advice and information in several clinical laboratory scientific specialties for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Also, I am maintaining technical equipment and instruments while serving as a knowledge expert and technical consultant in the specialty area(s). After being in the Medical Laboratory Science field for more than a decade, I decided to challenge my skills and abilities further in the analytical side of the healthcare system. I have developed both strong organizational and problem-solving skills that intermix with the ability to communicate with people at all levels to make an indirect difference in the healthcare industry. As a result, I decided to pursue my graduate degree in Master of Science in Health Informatics with Health Data Analytics concentration at George Mason University. Throughout my graduate program, I learned and mastered management skills and data processing techniques using SQL, R, and Python which equipped me to perform many healthcare-related projects. Besides, I have a solid background in statistics and did a couple of quantitative and qualitative data analysis experience projects using STATA, R, and Excel. I am a dedicated team player and a quick learner always willing to share knowledge and mentor others. Overall, I have proven to be a very dedicated, organized, and reliable worker that has excelled in any academic, professional, and supervisory position challenged with.
