About Seth Adler

I am currently employed as the Heavy Oil Automation Supervisor at Propak Systems, where I lead a talented team in the design, programming, and commissioning of control systems for various energy applications. I possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, with a specialization in Distributed Automation and Control. Additionally, I have obtained an Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma and a PLC Programming certificate from S.A.I.T. I am also a licensed Engineering Licensee from APEGS and hold the title of P. Tech (ENG) from ASET/APEGA. My professional experience encompasses a wide range of areas, including control system design, project management, automation team supervision, and the development of DCS/PLC systems for various industrial facilities such as thermal heavy oil processing plants, once-thru steam generators, chemical blending facilities, and natural gas processing facilities. Additionally, I have experience in factory acceptance testing, field commissioning, project cost estimation, SCADA & DCS design, and am well-versed in various programming languages as defined by IEC 63113-3. I have extensive experience in programming DCS/PLC systems using various platforms such as DeltaV, Allen Bradley SLC 500, ControlLogix, CompactLogix & Modicon Micro processors, SCADA Pack, Control Care processors and many others. Furthermore, I have experience in creating HMI programs for PanelView, Wonderware, PanelView Plus and PanelMate touch systems. Through my experience in the Oil and Gas industry, I am proficient in commissioning instrumentation, motors, motor controls including motor control centers, motor contactors, and variable frequency drives.
