About Seth Anderson 安子豪

A globalist at heart, I grew up in Boston, Chicago, and New York City and have since lived in Shanghai, Nanjing, Taipei, Utah, and Indonesia. I hail from a unique background as self-declared "China" specialist with a sincere interest in international economics. I recently obtained an undergrad degree in Chinese, and later plan to pursue a Global MBA or MA in Economics. My rigorous educational background combined with real-world experience, including two stints in Shanghai at a major investment bank has taught me how to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment.Since my early youth, I’ve always worked hard to gain the “bigger picture” and have personally lived abroad for 4 years and traveled to 20+ countries. My abilities to adapt and understand different cultures is one of my strongest traits. Truly bilingual in Mandarin Chinese, I’ve proven myself to have some of the best non-native language skills out there and have won various 1st Place awards at speech competitions, as well as made multiple appearances on popular televisions shows in China.Over the years, I have also worked hard to refine my technical skills and presentation abilities. I'm personally known for my abilities to first gather, then analyze information and present it in a concise and accurate manner. Not too long ago, I was a member on a team of three that represented BYU in taking 1st place at a national business case competition, comprising of contestants from West Point, University of Washington, and Indiana University among others.In short, I am an upbeat, energetic, people person, with a passion for learning and a global outlook. I strive to demonstrate leadership and excellence, in everything I do and always try to place myself in "uncomfortable" positions where I can truly realize meaningful growth.
