I am a recent graduate of UConn's Neag School of Education through the Teacher Certification Program for College Graduates (TCPCG). As a longtime lover of mathematics and helping others, it just seemed natural to seek to become a certified math teacher in Connecticut. I'm passionate about the usage of technology - an integral part of everyday life, and even more so for the educated - and educators - of tomorrow. Math is an essential part of understanding this technology. Between the statistics and probabilities of social media, trigonometry and physics calculations in satnav's and gaming media, and economic calculations in today's fluctuating markets, math is seen everywhere in every facet of modern society. I am also a personal lover of history. Having worked with my hometown's historical society for 4 years, I am a firm believer in understanding yesterday to have a better tomorrow.
