About Seth Eck

Hello. I am a Middle School Art Teacher at Edgewood Middle School in Harford County, Maryland. I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. With a Bachelor of Science in Art Education, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, as well as being a middle school Art Teacher, I am confident that my abilities will be beneficial to your educational team. I have had the privilege and opportunity to instruct diverse groups of students in all grade levels, where I acquired highly effective teaching techniques and instructional methods. By promoting a fun and engaging learning environment, I have been able to educate all styles of learners while successfully managing student behavior and achievement in the classroom. My enthusiasm, optimism, and desire to teach others, helps guide art appreciation, encourages imagination, and generates personal growth. Building some kind of unique rapport with each student is one of my greatest strengths as an educator. I accomplish this by taking a genuine interest in their academic and personal lives. I adjust lessons to accommodate multiple intelligences and attend sporting events, concerts, and participating in special events. Diligence and determination is used to improve students’ lives, demonstrated by using planning periods for them to catch up on work and after school if need be. My goal is to increase student motivation and understanding of the arts while implementing interdisciplinary-based lessons.
