Background

About Seth Edward Deegan

My passion for problem-solving and knowledge has shaped my intellectual journey. As a member of Purdue University’s BS/MS Computer Engineering program, I have been profoundly influenced by experiential learning opportunities outside the classroom. My engineering experience includes working with the Autonomous Robotics Team on a custom Pixhawk-based package delivery drone at Bechtel Innovation Design Center. Study abroad trips to Asia, Europe, and South America with Purdue Engineering have broadened my understanding of global cultural influences and challenges. I am a researcher at heart, driven by curiosity and a desire to develop smart, efficient solutions. I delve deeply into obscure concepts, learning independently through resources like Google, YouTube, and Wikipedia. This mindset has guided my personal and professional trajectory. I embrace challenges and calculated risks, seeking connections between concepts and striving for innovation and efficiency through automation. I value the exchange of ideas and advocate for unpursued innovations. Communication is key for me. I enjoy discussing complex ideas and making them accessible to everyone. Feel free to contact me via messenger to collaborate on software projects, coursework, or discussions related to engineering, autonomy, renewable energy, or data science.
